Out of hours service

After 6:30pm and before 8:00am, Monday to Friday, weekends and public holidays:

For Out of Hours call 111.  The service has been introduced for people who need medical care quickly but don't need a 999 emergency service. It operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

You can also obtain 24 hour general medical advice by telephoning NHS 111 or by visiting the NHS 111 website.

 

Important Update on Appointment Booking and Use of NHS 111

We would like to remind all our patients that our online consultation and appointment booking system is available 24 hours a day from Monday 00:00 until Friday 16:00. This system allows you to submit medical and administrative requests directly to the practice without needing to call us.

We have noticed an increasing number of patients contacting NHS 111 for issues that could be submitted via our online system. These requests are then redirected to us by 111, which can lead to unnecessary delays and additional pressure on our services.

To ensure fair and timely access for all patients, we kindly ask that you use our online system as the first point of contact for non-urgent medical issues during the week. This helps us manage demand more effectively and allows us to prioritise those with the greatest clinical need.

If your issue is urgent and it is outside our online system hours, NHS 111 remains available to assist you appropriately. However, please avoid using 111 to bypass our online system during its opening hours.
